9km of beach and lush mangrove sanctuaries to explore by foot, kayak, paddle board and boat.

Saadiyat Beach is a nesting ground for the Hawksbill turtle where some turtles lay their eggs each year.  To potentially catch a glimpse of these rare, endangered reptiles visit during nesting season from April to the end of August.

Abu Dhabi is also home to the world’s largest population of Indian Ocean humpback dolphins, and local sightings from Saadiyat Beach are frequent.

You may even be lucky enough to spot a dugong on your trip.  Little do people know, but Abu Dhabi has the second largest population of dugongs in the world, who love feeding on the seagrasses in the area.

A unique natural wonder, Saadiyat Island is rich in bio-diversity. Hundreds of species of birds, including the greater flamingo, call the mangrove and wetland reserves home.
